Evelyn Joy is an Author, Licensed Clinical Social Worker, and Certified Life Coach from Chicago, Illinois who has gone through some tough life situations growing up on the south side of Chicago and her focus is to create a space where black and brown young ladies in urban communities feel safe to learn, heal, and become. Evelyn Joy is one of the most ambitious women I have met who was managing a doctorate program, her life, and launching this brand that is to be the visual expression of her heart for the community. Evelyn is also sophisticated but is very sacrificial in nature, mimicking the characteristics of the Caregiver Brand Archetype.

So, of course, we wanted the brand to feel like an empowerment & fun space for teen girls which is reflected in her color palette and fonts. When we begin to conceptualize the logo, we wanted something that represented black and brown ethnic teens, an emblem and icon that could be placed on merch and apparel as conversation pieces.
